LG has launched its new Chocolate Card Phone, the KE820 in India. This ultra slim compact phone is the size of a credit card, with features such as 2.0 Mega Pixel Auto Focus Camera, Continuous Video Recording, Bluetooth.

The handset also has MP3 Player & Ringtones, Graphic Equalizer, FM Radio with 12 Station Memory and FM via speaker phone and supports music formats like MP3, WMA, AAC and AAC+. The phone also comes with a 256MB Memory card, USB Compatibility and can be used as a USB Pen Drive. It has an External Memory Card Slot, EDGE, Built-in Modem, Call conversation recording, Speaker phone and Tri-Band (900 / 1800 / 1900). Mr. H S Bhatia, Business Group Head, GSM Mobile, LGEIL, said, "The Chocolate Card Phone has a very high standard of technical specification but its primary appeal is its design, sleekness and elegance. Adding to its portfolio of Walkman phones, Sony Ericsson has reportedly today launched the W200i Walkman series music phone with Bass Reflex Headphones.

The W200i comes with a digital music player, 20-channels preset stereo FM radio, expandable memory with 128 MB card, mega bass, and VGA camera.

The phone bundles a Bass Reflex Headset, HPM-64 with an ergonomic in-ear design.

With the W200i, consumers can simultaneously click quality pictures with the 4x zoom VGA camera and play games, send multimedia messages, and connect to mobile services in the same device. The phone comes with pre-loaded Java games.

Speaking at the Delhi launch event, Sudhin Mathur, General Manager of Sony Ericsson India, said the W200i brings Sony Ericsson's unparalleled music technology to a wider market. Mathur said the phone has been designed with a single dedicated Walkman key for consumers to enjoy their favorite music whenever they want.

The first advertising campaign featuring Sony Ericsson's India Brand Ambassador, Hrithik Roshan, will focus on the W200i.

The W200i will be available at all Sony Ericsson stores, Sony Worlds, and over 25,000 mobile outlets across the country for Rs 7,795.

Sony Ericsson has introduced a new model to the Walkman series—the W580. It has a slider design and is equipped with the full Walkman phone features along with gaming, imaging and fitness applications. At just 14mm thin, the W580 is offered in two colors—Style White or Urban Grey both with orange accents. The W580 also has light effects along the side that change as you navigate the music player. The W580 also features a 2.0 megapixel camera and has a 2-inch color display.

The phone also offers radio programming as it's equipped with an RDS-FM radio. The W580 ships with a 512 MB Memory Stick Micro. Memory can be upgraded. With regards to music, this Walkman model also has the Trackid application for recognizing music using GPRS. Sports-wise functions include applications to track your steps, your calories and monitor your running speed/distance/time.

The W580 can be coupled with Sony Ericsson's Portable Speakers MPS-70 and Snap-on Speakers MPS-75 or the Bluetooth Music Receiver MBR-100 that allows you to play music directly through a home stereo. The phone can be used as a remote control for this accessory to change tracks and increase volume.

The W580 Walkman phone is a Quad Band EDGE device (850/900/1800/1900) and will be available in selected markets from the third quarter of 2007. No announcements on the price have been made.
